Our Pastoral Workers are based in and around various Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Fleet Auxiliary establishments in the UK. We are currently providing pastoral care in in the following areas:
Home to 45 Commando; Arbroath is Aggie’s Northerly outpost where pastoral worker Seonid Cunningham runs the Haven lounge at the Chaplaincy.
Jim McRae is working with serving personnel and families based in the Fife and Lothians area from MOD CALEDONIA in Rosyth.
HMNB Clyde is the Royal Navy’s main presence in Scotland. Our posts in Helensburgh and Clyde are currently gapped. Our team is normally based in the Chaplaincy Hub on the Churchill Service Families Accommodation area.
Aggie’s pastoral workers Angela Harper and Joanne Triffitt manage the popular Sanctuary Lounge and engage with families across several married quarters.
Pastoral workers Emma Boorn and Pete Wood are based at HMS Collingwood, the Royal Navy’s largest training establishment. From their base in the Haven they offer support and activities for trainees on a wide range of courses. Emma and Pete also host the Chaplaincy Coffee Bar.
HMS Sultan is the home of the Defence School of Marine Engineering and the Royal Naval Air Engineering and Survival School. Our pastoral workers Becky Baird and Iain Whitehead provide activities and a listening ear to staff and trainees.
The Haven in HMS Nelson Chaplaincy and the Waterfront Haven are popular places of relaxation and refreshment in the busy dockyard. Aggie’s pastoral workers Emma Barfoot, Tracey Harvey and Paul Jackson manage the Havens and other projects.
Whale Island and West Battery are the home of the RFA and Aggie’s pastoral worker Debbie Sutton is there to offer support to personnel of the RFA. Based in St Barbara’s church Debbie is ready to listen and offer hospitality.
Aggie’s Community Waves - Portsmouth
Karen Baldwin heads up the team of Aggie’s family pastoral workers in the Portsmouth Area. Elaine, Jo and Mary offer both indoor and outdoor events to keep families entertained, as well as one to one family support
HMNB Devonport - HMS Drake, RM Stonehouse, RM Bickleigh
Aggie’s pastoral workers Kate Thorn, Simon Reckless and Fiona Lang are on hand to offer support, and events at HMS Drake, and also man the Haven at the Chaplaincy. Support is offered by Letty Jones at RM Stonehouse and Brian Green works as an Aggie’s Pastoral Worker at RM Bickleigh.
Aggie’s Community Waves - Plymouth
Letty Jones, Sarah Farrington and Mark Jones run Aggie’s Community Waves in Plymouth a project serving families of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Fleet Auxiliary in Plymouth. Based across the Plymouth area Letty and Sarah offer a full range of craft sessions, coffee mornings, play and lots of fun.
Our pastoral worker at RNAS Culdrose, Georgie Phillips manages the popular Cyber Café, providing pastoral support to serving personnel and their families.
CTCRM at Lympstone in Devon selects and trains all Royal Marines Officers, recruits and reserves. The Rock Café in the Chaplaincy complex, is the base for Aggie’s Pastoral Worker Maria Fraser-Roe, Alison Blackwell, Jane Trethewey and Sarah Taylor. The Gordon Messenger Centre is base for Aggie’s families pastoral worker Vicky Plastow.
Pastoral workers Nicola Goudie and Hayley Stephens work with Royal Marines and their families in and around Hamworthy Barracks.
The Phase 1 training establishment at HMS Raleigh is looked after by Aggie’s pastoral workers Brian Green, Mark Kerridge and Mark Jones.
The Aggie’s pastoral worker role at RMB Chievenor is currently Gapped. works with Royal Marines and their families based at RMB Chivenor.
The training school at Worthy Down is looked after by Aggie’s pastoral worker Chloe Sheppard
Our pastoral Workers Rachel O’Malley and Richard Venn look after serving personnel and families at 40 Commando, Norton Manor.
Katie White is the co-ordinator of Aggie’s ACTioN. The ACTioN project works with families who are geographically dispersed around the UK.
